Our March suggestions

March is here, but we have to be honest: our suggestions this month are actually the result of February's adventures. Our creative director, Inês Vaz Pinto, represented Torres Novas at a few trade shows in the UK and, of course, no one can resist a trip to London to discover what's new. Between exhibitions, restaurants and books, the city is always inspiring. Here are Inês' recommendations!
Book: The Prison Officer, Gen Glaister
Whatever the destination, a good book is always the best travelling companion. The Prison Officer, by Gen Glaister, is a raw and honest account of his experience as a prison guard (in London, precisely), which shows us the humanity behind bars in an unexpected and deeply moving way. The book challenges any preconceived ideas we may have about the world of prisons and the stories of those who live there. An intense and immersive read!
Exhibition: VOGUE, Inventing the Runway
Fashion is art in motion and, of all my sources of inspiration, this one never disappoints. ‘VOGUE: Inventing the Runway’ is an immersive exhibition that revisits the history of fashion shows and how they have become one of the greatest vehicles of expression for designers. More than a spectacle, a fashion show translates a creative vision, an identity statement that reinvents itself every season. A true celebration of the imagination, discipline and passion that have moulded fashion as we know it today. A must-see exhibition for anyone who loves fashion!
Restaurant: Granger & Co
I'm an unconditional fan of the recipes of chef Bill Granger, creator of the Granger & Co restaurant. If I could, I'd return to London every weekend just to repeat the ricotta pancakes with banana and honeycomb butter - a breakfast worth every calorie and then some! If you go to London, you know where to shelter from the rain.
Shop: Liberty
No visit to London is complete without a visit to the iconic Liberty. Founded in 1875, this department store stands out for its impressive Tudor façade and charming interior, where tradition and modernity coexist harmoniously. Known for its famous printed fabrics and impeccable curation of fashion, decoration and beauty, Liberty is a true paradise for design lovers. It's a space worth exploring without haste, soaking up the sophisticated and creative atmosphere that makes this shop an unmissable landmark in the city.
Toppers Torres Novas
Nothing beats the feeling of returning home after a trip and sleeping in your own bed. And to make that experience even better, the new Torres Novas topper is simply perfect. With the same cloud pattern as the duvets (which I love!) and an incredibly soft touch, getting out of bed in the morning is becoming a real challenge. Between the hustle and bustle of everyday life and the desire to spend a few more minutes wrapped in this comfort, perhaps it wasn't the best idea to make my bed even more irresistible...
If you're planning a trip to London soon, I hope these suggestions help you enjoy the city even more. And if you're staying here, there's no shortage of ways to make the month more inspiring! Happy adventures!
